I’m Mala, want to guess where I currently am? Well, to be honest, I am a bit of a nomad. I hail from Western Australia, and since 2014 I have moved house more times than I have fingers, living in 3 different states. Then earlier this year I took my travels overseas for 4 months. I am now based in Margaret River, Western Australia, until the next adventure knocks on my door.
I believe in chasing your dreams, and I am currently in full swing with that. I know what it is like to risk everything to create your dream life. In April 2018 we sold everything (including our house) to travel the world fulltime. We spent 4 months on the road vlogging and you can check out our travels here. Sometimes it’s easy to believe you have to stay in the daily grind, working 9 to 5 and living an unfulfilling life to bring in the dollars, but I am proof that this is not the case, there is always a way to pursue your passions.
I am now back in Margies, with a home base, yet whilst on the road I dove deep into personal growth, and cracked myself wide open to connect to my authentic self.
I studied ontological coaching at the Newfield Institute in Australia. Throughout my coach training, I have completed more than 50 supervised coaching hours, and 29 experiential coaching days to consolidate my practice.
I also have a Bachelor of Arts, a Masters in digital production and a Graduate Certificate in business. I regularly invest in myself because I believe in constant growth so that I can truly share my medicine with others.
I am here to serve, and I believe strongly in the power of collaboration over competition, we are all in this together, and I am here to support you.
Some other fun facts about me. I was adopted from Sri Lanka as a baby. I was born into extreme poverty and manifested an extraordinary life, however along the way I faced off with deeply rooted fears of abandonment, and learned to realise that love starts within.
I have experienced an autoimmune condition called vitiligo, it means my skin is depigmented in certain parts. Alongside my abandonment stories of not being enough I grew up wishing I was white, and when it literally manifested I realised my stories of not being enough weren’t serving me (they were detrimental) and I shifted them. I have learned to literally love the skin I am in and celebrate my flaws because they make me unique.
I am sober. I spent years partying and living a lifestyle that tried to mask the pain I felt, I numbed everything with alcohol and hid my true, authentic self, because I was afraid of my power. Sobriety has been one of the easiest things I ever did, and it has also been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I can show you what a blessing it is too.
I am a naturally gifted coach who can help you dig deep to reveal your truth. I am a master at those one-liners to help shift your mindset and let go of the detrimental stories you create about yourself.
Life is beautiful, but it also challenging and we aren’t always set up for success, in fact sometimes it can all feel overwhelming, we can settle for less than we deserve, resigned to a life of stress and negativity. It doesn’t have to be that way. We are the masters of our destiny and when we take control and empower each other amazing things can happen. We don’t always know where we are going or why, but if we just start moving magic can unfold. I am a coach who works with clients to become a master of their destiny, to rise up from a place of self-love and courage and become their best self.
I haven’t always had it together, in fact, I used to have no sense of my identity, I hid behind many masks because I was afraid of showing up fully. I know what its like to push through your own limiting beliefs to step into your power.
I also share a lot with my tribe in my Facebook group, if you want to get to know me a bit more and share your journey too you can join here.
I also created a powerful worksheet to dig into the assessments we live from, these stories can make or break us. You can grab it here.
I’m so grateful you are taking the time to check out my website. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
